About Me
I set on the path to become a therapist after a 30-year career in the entertainment industry, which led me to want to learn more about why people do what they do instead of just watching it unfold on-screen. I believe my background as a TV producer has helped enrich my career as a therapist because I had the opportunity to help people share their stories without shame and encourage them to embrace their unique, authentic selves.
It’s only fair if I’m going to learn about you maybe knowing a little about me will help break down those walls.
I’m an extroverted introvert from Chicago who believes my “LA Membership Card” will be confiscated if they discover I do not like hiking. Let’s keep that our secret.
How I became a therapist
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) and graduated summa cum laude from California Southern University with a Master of Arts in Psychology.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness and offer further processing through Brainspotting, Havening, and Mindfulness. I also received LGBT+ affirmative therapy training to create a safe space for my clients to connect with a deeper sense of self and thrive.
I am a certified Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist through Fluence and have furthered my training at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute for psychedelic-assisted therapy. I facilitate at-home oral tablet treatment and also collaborate with IV infusion clinics throughout California to provide proper preparation and integration of patients’ psychedelic experiences to help increase the effectiveness of their treatment plan for lasting change.
Additionally, I am the founder/creator of IVKetamineSupport.com which is a platform to help support patients with the resources they need as they engage in ketamine therapy.
My background
Therapy can be weird at first. You’re pouring your heart out to a stranger. I get it.
My hope is you will feel comfortable with my therapeutic style and trust that I can help guide you toward a happier and healthier way of being.
Therapy can and should help you feel better.
So…Let’s do this.
I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I provide a supportive, safe space for all clients
which embraces every race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, religion, or ability.
